Monday morning’s match between Venus and Serena Williams brought stars from across the world to Wimbledon’s centre court. Marking the fifth time the Williams sisters have faced one another at England’s grand slam, this match seemed to hold much more significance than the four previous showings.

Serena, one grand slam title away from tying Steffi Graf for most all-time, is now 33 years old and her sister, Venus, still a top 20 player in the world, recently turned 35. While both continue to state that they’re not near retirement any time soon and their games echo the same sentiments, for everyone else, it’s time we start appreciating what they’ve meant to the sport.

With appearances from Drake, Ciara, John Legend and Chrissy Tiegen, Natasha Bedingfield, Camilla (Duchess of Cornwall), and supermodel Karlie Kloss, the fourth round match was one of the most star-studded lower round showings in its history.

Although Serena walked away with the 6-4, 6-3 win against her older sister, it was Venus who had the most telling quote of the day after the match when talking about the Williams sisters’ ambitions growing up:

I don’t think we thought about any limits. When you’re a kid, you don’t think about limits. You dream.
