Just as funny and with an entirely new plot, Ted 2 does not disappoint for fans of the first movie.

After opening in theaters on June 26 with an estimated budget of $68 million, the film debuted at No. 1 and brought in nearly $34 million in its opening weekend.

Despite the noticeable absence of Mila Kunis, Ted 2 was surprisingly just as funny as the first film. The storyline was compelling, despite the fact that going in the obvious question is: How the hell is Ted going to have a baby with his wife?

While the first film focused on John (Mark Wahlberg), the second film is all about Ted (voiced by Seth MacFarlane) and all the problems he encounters after marrying his girlfriend, Tami-Lynn (Jessica Barth), from the first movie. There were a few points where the jokes seem a bit forced but for the most part, the movie was just as hilarious as the first. The producers definitely got it right focusing on Ted this time around, as his character has been the highlight for the series.

Storyline from IMDB:

Newlywed couple Ted and Tami-Lynn want to have a baby, but in order to qualify to be a parent, Ted will have to prove he’s a person in a court of law.
